This is my first attempt at a web page so if you think its crap,

Tuff! :-)

The latest addition to my efforts is an excel spreadsheet.

It will calculate boiler sizes using the latest government method, Whole House Boiler Sizing.

You will only need to input length, width height of rooms, as well as window area and roof insulation.

Try it out if you find any bugs let me know.

I run mine on an Ipaq so it is with me all the time.

I wrote the software to reduce the time it takes look up the

calculations in my Corgi gas installer book.

The suite also make's life a little easier as well as impressing

the customers.

The main reason for putting up a page was so I could have some

way of distributing a small suite of Psion programs

I have written.

The Programs will run on any of the Psion 3 series as well as the Psion Siena.

The suite of programs is designed for use by anyone

who works with gas installations or servicing.

But I must emphasise this work should only be carried out by a Corgi registered installer.

The suite at the moment contains three programs. The first

is a simple converter, to change BTUs into Kilo-watts.

Next comes a calculator to work out gas pipe sizing.

Simply enter the input of the appliance in Kilo-watts,

Then the length of the pipe run and the program will work

out what size pipe needs to be used.

Last is a Timer program to "Gas Rate" an appliances.

Simply enter the input rating of the appliance and the

software works out how long it will take for the gas meter

dial to rotate one turn. All you need to do then is start

the timer and it will count down and give an audible warning

as the last few seconds run out.

I plan to write an additional programs to calculate Ventilation

requirements in the near future. And also a timer for a soundness

test, IE a two minute stabilisation then a two minute test.
