This was a very interesting bathroom for me. I had to split a very large bathroom in a house in Swanland into two.

This involved replacing a very large double glazed window and replacing it with what looks like two.

I then had to build a "stud" wall to divide the room and create a door way into a bedroom.

The new but smaller family bathroom first.

Both "Mira Coda Pro" power showers run from the same pump.

I also doubled the size of the hot water cylinder as the house now has 3 power showers!

Next the ensuite

Completed May 2013

This is a 2012 kitchen in Cottingham

You may notice the socket fronts are still to be fitted.

You may like the very tall 3 column radiator next to the Oven

*******************************************************************************************************

This is a bathroom finished just before Christmas 2012

Savory Street.

A very simple bathroom, with LOTS of STYLE

*******************************************************************************************************

Here we have a nice Bathroom with plenty of illumination.

This bathroom is on Hall Road.

*******************************************************************************************************

Next we have a contemporary bathroom I installed on Kingswood

Quite a large bathroom needed to make this work so well.

This shows a very compact WC and Basin unit.

A very smart radiator and note the separate on/off control for shower out side of the cubical.

********************************************************************

This is a very small bathroom in Ancaster Ave.

A very stylish mirror and a twin outlet mixer shower running off a Combi boiler

The column of mosaic tiles over the bath is very popular, as is the soft close seat.

*********************************************************************

This is a selection of before and after pictures.

As a rule IF you are viewing the page with your browser full screen you should see the picture's side by side.

This first set of photographs is from a house in Thornbridge Close in East Hull.

The first eight are from the main family bathroom and the second four from the Ensuite.

The picture on the left is before and the picture on the right the after.

Note walls are now fully tiled and I  have fitted the accessories.

Again picture on the left is before and the picture on the right the after.

The bath taps have been moved to the opposite end of the room and a Trevi CTV shower introduced.

Again picture on the left is before and the picture on the right the after.

The WC is a modern dual flush water saving cistern.

Note the Radiator has been replaced with a towel warmer.

***********************************************************************************************

The next selection is the same house as above but this is the Ensuite.

I did this room the following week.

The conventional Wc, basin & pedestal have gone to be replaced with units.

A semi counter top basin and a WC with hidden cistern and "back to wall" WC bowl.

A towel warmer has been added instead of a radiator.

You will have noticed by now the same tiles where used in both rooms.

You can also see that the customer kept the existing shower mixer valve, this is a good quality valve and was worth reusing.

*************************************************************************************************

This is a bathroom in Normady Avenue Beverly.

As you can see from the before and after shots the difference is plane to see. The old tiles had been painted over and this was peeling off.

The electric shower was also moved to a better position.

Again a modern Wc suite has been fitted.

All that was left to do was to repaint the walls that were not tiled and to arrange for floor covering.

*************************************************************************************************

Next is a Bathroom in Graham Avenue on Hessle High Road in Hull.

The first thing to point out is that I fitted the existing suite about 10 years ago.

The next is that the customer removed the existing wall tiles and in doing so damaged the plaster walls

to the point they simply had to be replaced. This is why some of the walls look strange.

The walls were replaced and fully tiled, coving was also fitted to the ceiling.

The bidet was removed and a large shower cubical and shower mixer fitted in its place.

If you look closely you can see I have also fitted a folding shower seat.

The Wc has been changed to a more contemporary design with a column of silver green tiles behind.

The old pedestal basin has been replaced with a vanity unit.

The radiator has gone to be replace with a large towel warmer. A whirlpool bath has also been introduced.

*************************************************************************************************

Tweendykes

The next set of pictures shows what difference 30 years can make to a fashion statement :-)

Again the radiator has been replaced with a towel warmer, The basin move slightly to the right and a half pedestal used.

The Bath has now gone to be replaced with a walk in shower tray.

There is no door here just a curved glass screen to prevent water escaping.

The original shower valve was retained by the customer as it was in good working order.

These two are here just to show off the cubical.

The lady of the house asked me if I could "do anything" with the ugly soil pipe behind the toilet. I suggested I build a wall to hide both the pipe and the toilet cistern.

The result is a "back to wall" WC bowl with a concealed cistern all tiled with a loose worktop cover and push button flush.

*************************************************************************************************

Ella Street

The pictures tell the storey. Before on the left after on the right.

***********************************************************************************************

***********************************************************************************************

And as the basin has moved across the room these last two show it.

***********************************************************************************************

Quite a change for Breeda & Jane.

*************************************************************************************************

Quilter Ave

Note the new stud wall to the right of the WC this forms the end of the new shower cubical.

A very nice Kitchen on Victoria Dock.

This kitchen was installed in 2011. Supplied by Homebase.

At the time these photo's were taken the small door next to the hood had not arrived nor had the worktop edging.

They did turn up 2 weeks later and where fitted.

************************************************************************************************

Next a bathroom on Rydales, Beverley Rd

A bath was removed and the shower raised onto a shallow platform to allow easy entry & exit.

Thanks to John & Pauline for your kind comments.

More to follow as and when I take the photo's and get the time to write the page.
